Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Full-Time - Fort Worth, TX

High volume pediatric urgent care in Fort Worth seeks a full time pediatric nurse practitioner to join their growing team. Great opportunity to work alongside an excellent team of clinicians within a super friendly work environment. Pediatric experience is required and urgent care experience preferred. Applicant must be a go-getter with a great attitude who loves kids. Bilingual in Spanish is required.
Role and Responsibilities
Nurse Practioner (NP) is responsible for providing urgent and non-urgent medical care for patients age birth to 21 years old in accordance with the general policies and standards established by the practice. Must deliver high quality healthcare to a multicultural patient population.
- Obtain accurate and concise HPIs and physical exams, provide documentation
- Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and occasionally chronic illnesses
- Perform sports physicals with coinciding documentation
- Provide health promotion, disease prevention, and health education
- Conduct, supervise, and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests
- Prescribe pharmacological agents and non-pharmacologic therapies
- Perform various procedures including wound repairs, x-rays, and abscess drainage
- Arrange for hospital transfers and complete associated documentation
- Perform some administrative duties
- Make referrals to outside specialties
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bilingual in Spanish required
- Must have previous experience in pediatrics
- Must have a Master’s degree from an accredited University and be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner with the State of Texas
- Must maintain NP license in good standing at all times
- Extensive knowledge of acute conditions and treatments
- Basic knowledge of splinting
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Social perceptiveness and service oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Familiarity with electronic medical health care record systems
- Must be willing to work weekends and holidays (position requires NP to work, at minimum, one summer holiday and one winter holiday)
Preferred Skills
Urgent care experience preferred

- Provider will have primary responsibility at a single office with occasional shifts at alternate location(s) in the greater Fort Worth area
