Pediatrician

Busy pediatric and allergy practice in the highly desired northwest corridor of Houston, TX is hiring a pediatrician. This is a unique opportunity for the right physician to join a well-respected practice with a much-loved reputation in the community and make it their own.

Pediatrician may join full-time or part-time, as desired.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) required for permanent placement (locum tenens not req'd)

The EOP allows for a staged approach to practice ownership with active participation in the design and management of the practice through its next stage of growth - giving the new pediatrician the ability to truly make the practice their own. Why is this being offered?
The practice is currently owned and operated by a single pediatrician. Since 2006 when he opened the private medical practice, he has been the only practicing physician. (There is a part-time nurse practitioner.) The practice owner is opening a 2nd location and wants to ensure he gets the right pediatrician in place at this location so that his established patients are well taken care of for years to come.

Compensation & Patient Base
Compensation includes competitive base salary plus dollar-for-dollar productivity-based income over benchmark. New pediatrician will be provided an established base of patients. (Current pediatrician is opening a 2nd location.)

Office & Work Environment
Office is fully staffed and has a tenured, well-trained and fully bilingual (English/Spanish) team. It is a freestanding 4,128 square foot outpatient facility with easy access just off the highway (Northwest Freeway) and ample patient parking.
 

Outpatient work only; no hospital rounds required. Practice has admitting arrangements with Texas Children's Hospital. Texas Children's provides full service pediatric admittance.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Medical degree with specialty in pediatrics
• Proven experience as a pediatrician
• Knowledge of pediatric and allergy diagnostics, treatments, and medical coding
• High proficiency in electronic medical records and electronic prescriptions
• Superior patient and parent relationship skills
• Excellent communication and people-management skills
• Valid license to practice medicine, Texas medical license preferred
• DEA license (required)
• Bilingual (English, Spanish) required for permanent placement

Preferred Skills

Allergy immunotherapy experience and credentials strongly preferred

Texas medical license strongly preferred

Additional Information​

• EMR: eClnicalWorks
• Office Hours: Practice is currently open 4 full days and 2 half days per week 
• Location: Northwest Houston near Hilshire Village and Memorial Hermann Greater Heights
• Staff: Tenured, bilingual staff are trained in patient intake, billing and payment posting, vaccination administration, and allergy serum preparation. 
• Business Services: New pediatrician will be provided business and practice optimization consulting. Credentialing services will also be provided. 
• Office: Office is fully furnished and equipped with in-house CBC analyzer, tympanometer, medical supplies and allergy serum/vaccine inventory.
